Drug discovery, targeted drug delivery, cancer
Philip S. Low, director of Purdue’s Center for Drug Discovery and the Ralph C. Corley Distinguished Professor of Chemistry, can speak about Purdue’sdrug discovery initiative and the pathway from scientific discovery to a therapeutic or technology available to a patient.
Low also can speak about his own work on the design and synthesis of technologies for targeted delivery of therapeutic and imaging agents to treat cancer, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, and infectious diseases. He holds more than 45 U.S. patents, and eight drugs stemming from his research into targeting technologies are currently undergoing human clinical trials.
