Ethics and Compliance to offer training on child abuse prevention and response

The Office of the Vice President for Ethics and Compliance is partnering with Prevent Child Abuse Indiana (PCAIN) to provide education regarding child abuse prevention and response. "Child Abuse 101: Indicators of Abuse and Neglect" will be offered 5:30 to 7 p.m. June 7 in Neil Armstrong Hall of Engineering, Room 1103.

This program will cover:
* The four types of child maltreatment.
* How to understand both behavioral and physical indicators of child maltreatment.
* Reporting responsibilities.
* Prevention strategies.

The training is open to faculty, staff and students, and may be of particular interest to individuals who support programs involving minors (e.g., summer camps). Individuals must be 18 to participate in this training. Registration is required and must be completed online by 5 p.m. June 6.
