Police investigate multiple reports of slashed tires

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue University police are investigating 25 reports of slashed tires on campus that occurred during the early morning hours of Sunday (Jan. 24).

Police say 15 tires were slashed in the north parking lot of Owen Residence Hall, and one vehicle also was scratched. Another 10 tire-slashing incidents were reported in the 600 block of N. Russell Street. The incidents are believed to have occurred between 12:30 a.m. and 7:45 a.m.

Anyone who sees suspicious activity is urged to call the police immediately. Those with any additional information are asked to call the Purdue Police Department at 765-494-8221.
