Purdue Extension Women in Ag award nominees sought

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue Extension's Women in Agriculture committee is now accepting nominations for the organization's top awards through May 1.

Awards for leadership and achievement in agricultural activities by women in the industry will be given during the 2016 Indiana State Fair in August to women who are leaders and innovators in the Indiana agricultural industry.

Nominees for the Achievement Award must be an essential part of their family business or personal farm business. Leadership Award nominees hold leadership roles in agriculture such as educational, scientific, service, nonprofit or corporate positions.

Women may nominate themselves or others who reside in Indiana and are not currently employed by Purdue. Nominators must submit the nomination form found at https://ag.purdue.edu/extension/WIA/Pages/awards.aspx to WIA Awards co-chair Danica Kirkpatrick at danica@purdue.edu or Amy Jones at jones176@purdue.edu.
