Purdue Soybean Showcase planned at Beck Center

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Soybean producers can gain insights on how to increase their yield by attending the 2017 Purdue Soybean Showcase field day.
The Soybean Showcase will be held 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m., July 27 at the Beck Agricultural Center, 4540 U.S. 52 West, West Lafayette.
“The event is an opportunity for Purdue University faculty, students and staff to highlight their various soybean related research efforts,” said Marshall Martin, director of the Purdue University Soybean Center.
Purdue faculty will moderate research plot tours. Informational sessions will be held inside the Beck Agricultural Center.
“This is a great opportunity for Indiana farmers to see the research that their soybean checkoff supports, and provides the unique opportunity of allowing attendees to really interact with the researchers leading the way on these initiatives,” said Aly Wells, director of Production and Environment, Indiana Soybean Alliance. “The Indiana Soybean Alliance remains focused on supporting on-farm research and tools that help soybean farmers maximize their farms’ performance while also being good stewards of the land. We’re all looking forward to seeing the progress that is being made.”
The field day is provided in partnership with the Indiana Soybean Alliance – the state soybean checkoff – and Purdue University Soybean Center. Lunch is provided but pre-registration is requested by Tuesday, July 18.
