Purdue University announces shortlisted teams for student housing project

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. —Purdue University on Thursday (May 10) announced the teams selected to compete for a project that will add two new student housing facilities, totaling approximately 1,100 new beds, to the West Lafayette campus.

The university selected the following final two teams based on an evaluation of their technical and financial proposals:

Plenary Properties Purdue, LLC.

(Plenary Group USA Concessions Ltd., Corvias LLC, Gilbane Building Co., MSKTD & Associates and Mackey Mitchell Architects).

Third & Meredith Partners.

(Servitas LLC, Star America, F. A. Wilhelm Construction Co., American Structurepoint, KWK Architects, Ross & Baruzzini and SSC).

Over the coming months, these two teams will work with the university and its advisers to refine their design concepts and negotiate detailed commercial and financial terms to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Third Street North and Meredith South student housing facilities under a public-private partnership agreement.  

The announcement of the preferred proposer will be in July 2018. Construction is expected to begin later this fall with the residence halls scheduled to be available for the 2020-21 academic year.
