Site Visits

The Research Development group routinely assists faculty who have been selected by the sponsor for a pre-award site visit.  Research Development can coordinate all non-technical aspects of the visit, allowing involved faculty to focus on technical presentations. 

The site visit coordination services provided by Research Development include:

 

Logistics

  • Recommending and reserving appropriate campus venue for visit
  • Arranging  for catered meals for visit
  • Making hotel arrangements for both site visitors and partners on proposal, as needed
  • Assisting with travel arrangements for site visitors and partners, as needed
  • Handling parking and related transportation issues
  • Assuring wireless access for all site visitors and partners
  • Arranging for appropriate A/V

 

Materials

  • Providing input for and creating agenda
  • Assisting in creation of presentation slides:  template, formatting, proofing
  • Creating books of presentation materials, including slides and proposal
  • Making flash drives of presentations
  • Creating name badges and tent cards

 

Mock Review

  • Securing team of peer reviewers to serve as red team for mock review
  • Making mock review arrangements:  meetings, location, materials, refreshments, videoconferencing for partners, feedback to team
