Purdue, IU MBAs team up at Indianapolis job fairWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. MBA career service offices from Purdue and Indiana universities are teaming up in the Inaugural Old Oaken Bucket MBA Job Fair in Indianapolis on March 8.Employers of all sizes can meet first- and second-year MBA students from the Krannert Graduate School of Management and the Kelley School of Business beginning at 9 a.m. in the Grand Ballrooms at the Westin Hotel. "This is an unusual opportunity for employers to interview our students as the economy begins to improve," said Alan D. Ferrell, director of the Krannert School's MBA Placement Office. "The Old Oaken Bucket goes to the winner of the annual football contest between the state rivals, but the winners at the job fair will be employers and the state of Indiana." Dick McCracken, director of the Kelley School's Graduate Career Services Office, added, "Our two nationally ranked MBA programs and acclaimed niche graduate programs offer the widest talent pool in Indiana. We're making it easy for employers to access talent by pooling resources and underwriting much of the event's cost." Companies will have the opportunity to visit with full-time and intern candidates informally from 9 a.m. until noon. The afternoon (1:30-4:30 p.m.) is reserved for 30-minute interviews of company-selected candidates. Student resumes are available online. Companies can schedule interviews by contacting Cheryl Hinton at chinton@mgmt.purdue.edu. Employers also can select interviewees from students they meet during the morning session.
