150th Anniversary Professors

The 150th Anniversary Professorships recognize Purdue faculty who have shown the highest levels of achievement in our teaching and learning mission. These named chairs were created to highlight the importance of outstanding instruction for institutional excellence.

Candidates for 150th Anniversary Professorships were nominated by academic deans who submitted documentation from faculty and staff within and outside of Purdue, and from former students. A distinguished faculty panel drawn from across campus reviewed and ranked nominations based on evidence of:

  • Sustained, outstanding, high-impact teaching.
  • Mentoring and contributing to the academic, career and personal development of students.
