MacArthur Drive closure to remain in place throughout summer as construction on residence hall continues

As construction on a new residence hall continues throughout the summer months, travel restrictions will remain in place around Hillenbrand Residence Hall as outlined below.

  • MacArthur Drive from Third to First Streets will remain closed. All parking along this section of MacArthur Drive will be unavailable, and alternate Residence Hall permit parking is available in the nearby McCutcheon Drive Parking Garage.
  • The Hillenbrand Dining Court and loading dock will also remain closed. These closures will last through the summer and reopen for the start of the fall semester.
  • The walkway between Earhart and Shreve Residence Halls will be fully restored prior to the start of the fall semester.
  • CityBus riders are encouraged to continue checking the real-time GPS tracking of buses on the Where Is the Bus? webpage or on the MyCityBus mobile app as some routes will continue to be affected.

Motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists should use extreme caution in the area and obey all posted signs and detours.

Questions about the project may be directed to Don Petersen, project executive, at drpeter@purdue.edu. Parking questions may be directed to Parking Facilities at 765-494-9497 or parking@purdue.edu between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The lobby closes at 4 p.m.

As construction on a new residence hall gets underway, several travel restrictions will be in place around Hillenbrand Residence Hall.
