Welcome Edreece Redmond as assistant director of Administrative Operations in Indianapolis

I am pleased to announce that Edreece Redmond has been named assistant director of Administrative Operations in Indianapolis effective Dec. 16. Edreece brings with him extensive experience working within educational operations.

Edreece Redmond has been named assistant director of Administrative Operations in Indianapolis.

In this newly established role, Edreece will be responsible for developing and managing standard operating procedures, overseeing critical project deliverables and ensuring seamless integration between the Indianapolis and West Lafayette campuses. His work involves collaborating with Administrative Operations, academic units and Indiana University campuses to enhance daily operations, improve processes and support Purdue's mission of learning, discovery and engagement.

Edreece has experience in operational leadership, strategic planning and organizational development in the education sector. As executive director at the Center for Innovative Education Solutions (CIES), he implemented a new operational support model for schools, restructured the organization for growth and secured over $20 million in bond financing for facility expansion. Previously, as director of Operations and Facility Services, he streamlined a cost-saving transportation pilot, reducing piloted schools transportation operational expenses by over $90,000 and worked on expanding and refinancing school facilities.

At Tindley Accelerated Schools, where he served for a decade, Edreece held various leadership roles, including chief operations officer, interim chief executive officer and executive director of operations. His achievements include eliminating $14 million in facility debt, leading a $3 million school redevelopment project, saving over $400,000 through capital improvements and transitioning the organization to a 1:1 mobile education platform. Edreece also negotiated cost-saving vendor contracts and managed daily operations for multiple school facilities serving over 1,300 students and 150 staff members.

Edreece earned a bachelor’s degree from Albion College in sociology and his master’s degree from the University of Cincinnati in legal studies.
