Indy 500 Legend & friend of Purdue “All-American” Marching Band, Jim Nabors, Dies at 87

The Purdue “All-American” Marching Band lost a very dear friend today. Jim Nabors was arguably the most historic figure of the Indianapolis 500 since 1972. In 2014, Nabors sang Back Home Again in Indiana in the pre-race festivities for his 36th and final time. The Purdue “All-American” Marching Band had the incredible honor to accompany him on the famous song year after year. Thanks for the memories Jim! You will be dearly missed.
