PURDUE JAZZ FESTIVAL
Jazz bands from middle schools and high schools across the Midwest will converge on Purdue University on January 25, 2025 for the 35rd annual Purdue Jazz Festival.

Thursday, January 23 – 7:30 PM
Community Jazz Showcase
Performances associated with the festival will kick off Thursday, January 23th with a free Community Jazz Showcase at 7:30 p.m. at the Long Center for the Performing arts in Lafayette, Indiana, featuring the Purdue Jazz Band and High School jazz bands from Tippecanoe County.
Friday, January 24 – 8:00 PM
The Mingus Big Band
Purdue Convocations is excited to welcome back the Mingus Big Band to campus as the 2025 Purdue Jazz Festival Headliner concert on Friday, January 24th, at 8:00 PM in Loeb Playhouse.

Saturday, January 25 – All Day
Festival Day
Over 100 high school and middle school jazz ensembles will compete in various divisions at Purdue University. The Purdue Jazz Band will give two performances – one at noon and one at 7:30 PM at the Finale and Awards Ceremony. Throughout the day, our Guest Artists and Clinicians will give lectures and demonstrations that are open to the Festival participants.
