Welcome Humza Nasir!

We are excited to announce that Humza Nasir has been hired as Special Events and Public Relations Coordinator, effective May 1. Humza was a 4 year trumpet player in the “All-American” Marching Band, participated 3 years in Gold and Black Sound (GABS), 3 years in Boiler Brass and has played in Varsity, Collegiate, Concert and Symphonic Bands. He was also Technology Team Leader from 2018-2020. Following the passing of Jim Wallace, Humza has taken over administration of the Purdue Band Fan Facebook page, as well as managed our YouTube video content. He will continue to manage photography and videography for Purdue Bands & Orchestras in this new role, in addition to his special events and other public relations assignments. We are fortunate to have Humza on staff full-time and look forward to all of the ways our alumni, friends, students and fans will benefit from his contributions.
