In addition to our 2-day Symposium, we are hosting a Career Session event on Tuesday, May 7th at the Lafayette Brewing Co. in downtown Lafayette.
The purpose of this event is to give attendees a chance to learn more about different career paths in STEM. Participants will have a chance to mingle with students, postdocs, scientists, and other professionals in a relaxed setting. Additionally, there will be free drinks and food. Entrance is free! 5:15 pm — 5:20 pm:Arrive and check-in upstairs at Lafayette Brewing Co.
5:30pm —5:45 pm: Appetizers and drinks
5:45pm — 6:00 pm: Welcome statement and speaker introductions
6:00 pm— 7:00 pm: Round table rotations with 3 different panelists
7:00 pm — 8:00 pm: Geeks Who Drink Trivia
8:00 pm: Free time
