H2-WOW! Protecting Our Water Resources Exhibit
We have designed an exhibit that focuses on water quality and freshwater mussels. The exhibit is different than most museum-type displays. This exhibit is not just a series of panel posters. Instead, you actually step into the exhibit and are surrounded by it, making for a very unique experience.
One of the most exciting things about the exhibit is that you get to learn about treasures of the Tippecanoe River, freshwater mussels, and how mussels impact and are impacted by water quality. Lastly, not only do you learn a lot of information, but you also learn what you can do to help protect watersheds, promote good water quality, and conserve fish and wildlife (e.g., leave federally listed mussels where you find them, don’t litter, use less fertilizer, carry canoes/kayaks over areas of shallow water).
Please visit the exhibit at:
April 15-May 12 Pulaski County Public Library, Winamac, IN
May 12-June 30 Tippecanoe River State Park, Nature Center, Winamac, IN
August 5-21 Indiana State Fair, Indianapolis, IN
