- A Comprehensive Energy Master Plan is created to meet the University's future energy needs in an affordable and sustainable manner.
- The $4.2 million ADM Agricultural Innovation Center opens, offering greater laboratory and classroom opportunities for students in the University's top-rated Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering.
- President Córdova becomes chair of the Smithsonian Institution Board of
Regents.
- The University launches the Innovation and Commercialization Center to move Purdue discoveries to the marketplace more quickly, increase revenue for the University, and spur economic development in Indiana and the nation. Income is expected to reduce the institution's dependence on state appropriations and tuition increases.

- Purdue has doubled its annual research expenditures to $600 million since 2006-07, supporting its goal to increase economic development for Indiana and revenue streams for the University.
- The Board of Trustees learn that for 2010-2011:
- Among U.S. universities, Purdue ranks sixth for business startups, with 11 startup companies based on Purdue technology.
- Purdue is second in the Big Ten (when adjusting for differences in research expenditures) in identifying new discoveries (257) and integrating them into the commercialization process.
- Among its aspirational peers, Purdue is second in new U.S. patent applications; worldwide 364 were filed.
- Purdue leads the Big Ten and aspirational peers in closing commercial licenses and options, besting even Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which has three times the support staff.
- The Purdue Research Park network is a top-20 private employer in Indiana.

- During an event to celebrate Women’s History Month and the life of pioneer Dorothy Stratton, President Córdova donates her papers to the university’s Archives and Special Collections.
- An official trip to Colombia by President Córdova and other university administrators and faculty continues to build relationships that will expand research opportunities and broaden the university’s global impact. She meets with President Juan Manuel Santos and signs Memos of Understanding with numerous Colombian universities.
- Purdue's graduate programs are ranked among the nation's best by U.S. News and World Report.
- President Córdova delivers the State of the University address and shares a 5-year retrospective of the university’s successes.
- President Córdova is honored by Senator Dick Lugar with an entry in the congressional record recognizing her service to Purdue University and the State of Indiana.
- President Córdova travels to Africa -- the first Purdue president to do so -- to foster collaborative education and research relationships. She is accompanied by Gebisa Ejeta, distinguished professor and 2009 World Food Prize laureate, and Arden Bement, director of Purdue’s Global Policy Research Institute.
