Science, math and geography teachers (grades 8-12) have the opportunity to receive resources, along with educational material, from real-time data collected from a buoy in Lake Michigan.
This workshop held January 25, 2014, will share emerging issues for Lake Michigan ecosystems, meaningful ways to teach about in-lake processes including development of the thermocline and effects of temperature on Lake Michigan fishes, integrating Great Lakes Literacy Principles in your instruction and engaging your students in problem-based scenarios.
This workshop is sponsored by Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant Program and Purdue University.
