The key step with the superposition approach is breaking down the problem into subsystems for which you are able to look up expressions for deflections. Here it is recommended that you break down the original problem into two beams: one being a cantilevered beam with a line load, and the second being a cantilevered beam with a point load at point C. Sum together the expressions for beam displacements, and determine the reaction force at C through the enforcement of zero displacement at C.
