Please note that most of the lecture book examples can be found in the lecture book; however, some of the examples have been moved from the lecture book to postings on the course blog in an attempt to reduce the length of the physical lecture book. These examples are labeled in BLUE below.
WEEK 1
Monday, June 13
- Review the Course Syllabus and the Course Schedule
- Complete the Syllabus Quiz on Gradescope. The Syllabus Quiz is due by 11:59 pm EDT on Tuesday, June 14.
- Read Topic 1 of the Lecture Book
- Watch the lecture video on the topics of Introduction; Static Equilibrium
- Review the Lecture Book examples related to today's topic
- Begin working on Homework 1. Homework 1 is due by 11;59 pm EDT on Friday, June 17.

- Read Topic 6 of the Lecture Book
- There is no lecture video for today; the video from June 21 also discussed planar trusses
- Review the Lecture Book examples related to today's topic
- Watch the animation demonstrating indeterminate trusses

- Exam 1 will be proctored on Zoom between 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm.
- The exam will be closed book and closed note. You may use a calculator in accordance with the ME calculator policy. An equation sheet will be provided with the exam.
- The exam will cover material from Lectures 1-12.
- Exams from prior semesters can be found on Weekly Joys.
