Up till part c, this question is quite fine where you of course have to assume L > d. However, for the mohr's circle part of this question, the question is quite terrible without numbers. Would you consider giving some values to allow this problem not to be an algebraic nightmare? Thanks!
In part d is it supposed to say the absolute maximum shear stress? Right now it only says absolute maximum stress.
Should answers be given in terms of P, L and d, or should the values of the variables from the previous question be used?
I would assume they want it in variable form
What does it mean by table method? I have all the answers, am I supposed to just put it in a table?

Nevermind, I believe I figure out a simple way to determine some values.
Not determine values, but relate certain expressions.
