Mechanical engineering is one of the broadest of all engineering majors, and our students’ work touches most every industry. Purdue mechanical engineering graduates have become astronauts, athletes, entrepreneurs, and everything in between.
Mechanical engineers develop creative solutions to meet grand challenges in energy, environment, food, housing, water, transportation, safety, and health. Classes include a wide range of physics, electronics, 3D printing, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, controls and more.
