Breadth of Majors
Choose from 18 engineering majors and several unique minors. You also have the option to customize your own major through our Interdisciplinary Engineering Studies and Multidisciplinary Engineering programs. In addition, Purdue Engineering offers several unique certificate programs from which to choose.

First-Year Experience
West Lafayette students begin with the First-Year Engineering Program, where they are placed in teams to learn collaboration, communication, math, science, design and problem solving skills.
Students in Indianapolis are admitted direct to their major. However, they follow a core first year curriculum similar to that of our First-Year Engineering students to West Lafayette.

Hands-On Opportunities
On average, 97% of Students who graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Purdue Engineering have confirmed post-graduation plans within 6 months of graduation and an average starting salary of over $79,000. To assist in developing your resume and open doors of opportunity at graduation, students are strongly encouraged to get work experience.

Accessible Faculty
Faculty lead over 80% of Purdue Engineering classes which means that you can study alongside professors who are happy to share their rich experience and expertise. Faculty want to meet students and hold regular office hours dedicated to the students from their classes.
