Tips from Aletha Stahl, CILMAR's lead intercultural learning specialist, for engaging with the HubICL interface:

  1. For learning activities, go to the Toolbox. The left sidebar has multiple search parameters. You won’t get many results if you fill them all in. I usually just focus on External Cost (no), Tool Type, and AAC&U Rubric Outcomes.

  2. To change a search, click Clear Filters (below search parameters) and start again. Unclicking a box or changing a dropdown menu item won’t do it.

  3. If you want to search a general topic, use the HubICL-wide search button located at the top right of the home screen. You can also find other HubICL users this way.

  4. Hover over Discover on the top menu to access most of what you need.

  5. When you’re logged in, hovering over your name or photo at the top will get you to your Dashboard – everything specific to you such as your Collections.
