Fellowship Office

The Fellowship Office provides resources for fellowship applicants, current graduate student fellows, and Purdue staff. Our work supports each of these groups to promote both grant writing skill development for students along with a streamlined system of fund management.

Our goal is to help graduate students learn about fellowship opportunities, teach writing skills students need, and guide students through the application process.  The Outside Fellowships Page lists many available fellowships, which are also posted in the Graduate Student Professional Development Newsletter. Additionally, we host fellowship workshops on both general writing strategies and specific fellowship programs to help master's and doctoral students compose competitive applications.

We give consultation to current graduate student fellows on the terms and conditions of their funding. Fellowship students have enrollment, GPA, and other requirements to maintain their funding. Graduate students who have won a fellowship are encouraged to contact our office with any questions they have regarding the administration of their award.

Additionally, through oversight of fellowship administrative procedures, we assist business office staff, faculty, and other professionals at Purdue who are involved with any aspect of fellowship management. Our staff ensures that departments and business units file the correct information to process fellowships through the OGSPS Database’s eForm 90. Furthermore, we serve as a liaison between Sponsored Program Services and the Bursar’s Office to coordinate and track fellowship accounts. We also train business office staff and graduate coordinators on fellowship documentation, fellowship offer letters, and Purdue fellowship allocations.
