The newly launched Travel with Care website is set to transform the way travelers interact with destinations around the world. As a leading resource for the development and management of responsible traveler education, this platform provides critical guidance to Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs), tourism businesses, and government agencies. By offering practical tools and insights, Travel with Care helps these entities communicate essential messages to visitors, promoting behavior that benefits the local environment and community.

One of the critical features of Travel with Care is its focus on sharing global best practices, case studies, and up-to-date research. The platform serves as a comprehensive hub where stakeholders in the tourism industry can access proven strategies to promote sustainable tourism. Whether it’s reducing the environmental footprint of travel or enhancing cultural respect and understanding, Travel with Care equips users with the resources they need to encourage positive traveler behavior.

A collaborative effort between Miles Partnership and Purdue University’s Sustainable Tourism and Responsible Tourism Lab within the White Lodging-J.W. Marriott, Jr. School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, the platform draws on the expertise of these leading institutions. Industry supporters and sponsors also play a pivotal role in advancing this initiative, further strengthening its reach and impact. The project aims to create a global network of tourism organizations committed to fostering sustainable practices and ensuring that travelers leave a lasting, positive legacy on the destinations they explore.

Through its community-building approach, Travel with Care is more than just an educational platform—it’s a movement. The initiative actively encourages tourism organizations to engage in dialogue, share experiences, and work collaboratively to shape a more responsible future for the industry. Offering resources to industry professionals and tourists helps drive meaningful change in how people travel, ensuring that destinations worldwide can be preserved for future generations.
