Global Experiences
Take an international approach to hands-on learning
Intercultural learning and studying abroad allow you to broaden your perspective across different countries and cultures. Through a variety of programming for both domestic and international students, the White Lodging-J.W. Marriott, Jr. School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) enables interested students to take giant leaps in exploring new mindsets.
Global Work Experience Program
Through its outstanding research and academic programming, HTM has a global reputation as a leader in service innovation, with students traveling from around the world to take their next giant leaps with HTM. To help facilitate experiential learning for international students, HTM has developed the Global Work Experience Program to assist international students with understanding legal requirements and securing internships and other work experience opportunities in the United States. International internships
HTM also offers a variety of opportunities for domestic students to take their education abroad, including the six-month Sponsored Internship and Study Abroad in China, which is sponsored by Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts. You can view a complete list of study abroad opportunities on the College of Health and Human Sciences website.
For many students, they have never left the country before. They need an opportunity to expand their horizons and learn about what it is to travel and learn about a different culture, a different environment. It’s an eye-opening, lifetime experience that they’re always going to remember.
