Diet:

Generally feeds at night on insects, crayfish, worms, and small fish.

 

Habitat:

Prefers clear water with abundant aquatic vegetation

 

Length:

Average length is 6.5 to 9 inches

 

Identification:

Light olive brown to yellow on top, with white or cream colored barbels; 24-27 rays in anal fin
