France: starch of root recommended, for extending bread flour, after removal of acrid element. Sweden: unidentified part of plant used in preparation of bread. Bangladesh: green leaves eaten; roots may be boiled with rice or cooked as curry and may contain chemical component which can irritate mouth and throat.
