This Week at the Purdue Student Farm

Week 16! First frost out here, and with the current forecast for next week, we’ve got a dread couple of days close to freezing in our future. Woe is the Purdue Student Farm. And among other weather gripes, still no rain, which is only to our benefit in that we spend less time mowing. Our last set of transplants for the year are all officially in the high tunnels; many thanks, as always, to the Small Farm Experience class. Winter squash harvest continues, though this is the week where we realized that only harvesting a little of it as it ripened means that we now have an absolute ton that has ripened all at once to deal with. And by we, I mean Chris.
