Group discussion at the ION Advisory Board Meeting at Ripple and Company, 2/18.
Ashley Adair and the Purdue Agroecology Lab hosted the inaugural Indiana Organic Network Advisory Board Meeting on Tuesday, 2/18. The board, made up of grain and specialty crop farmers and ag service organization partners, will advise the project team on the grant that funds the Indiana Organic Network effort (NIFA-ORG “Empowering Indian’s Organic Farmers: Assessing Regional and Farm Scale Soil Health with a Farmer Network”) and extension efforts for the grant, led by Ashley and Bryan Overstreet (Purdue Extension and CCSI). We hope that this group can continue to grow and advocate on behalf of organic growers in Indiana beyond the funding cycle of this grant.
