Dr. Aaron Thompson, Director of the Center for Community & Environmental Planning, joined together with project partners to celebrate National Bison Day on Saturday, November 2nd and witness the ribbon cutting on significant visitor facility improvements at The Nature Conservancy’s Efroymson Prairie at Kankakee Sands. This 3-year partnership is a testament to the power of collaboration between TNC, Purdue University’s Center for Community and Environmental Design, the National Park Service, V3 landscape architecture, and the community. Seniors in landscape architecture and CCED staff gained invaluable hands-on experience, and the community will benefit from enhanced access to nature and education.
