This month’s Graduate Ag Research Spotlight is Enrique Velasco. Originally from Bolivia, Velasco studied Agribusiness Management at Zamarano University. During his time at Zamarano, he applied for and received an internship, working with Dr. Ariana Torres, Professor in Horticulture and Agricultural Economics. After graduating from Zamarano, he returned to Purdue to start his master’s program with Torres. Velasco’s research focuses on consumer perceptions of food safety of fresh vegetables.
