Graduate Student, Heejin Yoo, Receives First Place Award at ASPB Midwestern Section Annual Meeting

Heejin Yoo, First Place award for her Outstanding Oral Presentation at the American Society of Plant Biologists (ASPB) Midwestern Section Annual Meeting at Ohio State University for her talk: “An alternative pathway contributes to phenylalanine biosynthesis in plants via a cytosolic tyrosine:phenylpyruvate aminotransferase.” Also received 2014 Student Publication of the Year Award from the Purdue University Interdisciplinary Life Science Program (PULSe) for her paper:  Yoo H, Widhalm JR, Qian Y, Maeda H, Cooper BR, Jannasch AS, Gonda I, Lewinsohn E, Rhodes D and Dudareva N. 2013.  An alternative pathway contributes to phenylalanine biosynthesis in plants via a cytosolic tyrosine:phenylpyruvate aminotransferase.  Nature Communications 4, DOI: 10.1038/ncomms3833
