HLA Ambassadors’ Summer Internships – Isaac Damer

This week’s HLA Ambassador’s Summer Internship Spotlight is Isaac Damer (HORT/Plant Science).

Hello all! My name is Isaac Damer and I am a rising Junior in Horticulture, concentrating in Plant Science. This summer I have been working as a lab assistant in Dr. Bilenky’s Sustainable Vegetable Cropping Systems Lab! Currently, we have various projects integrating livestock into vegetable production, including chickens, sheep, and horses! The goal of these projects is to evaluate the economic viability, pathogen safety, and environmental impact of integrating livestock and vegetable production in one system.
