Hello! My name is Sydney Kleiman and I am a Horticulture Ambassador at Purdue. I am a rising senior in Horticulture Production and Marketing. This summer I have been interning at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina! I have had been working four days per week in the Historic Rose Garden this summer, but I rotate to a different sector of Horticulture on the estate on Wednesdays. On these Wednesday rotations, I have been able to work in arboriculture, landscaping, floral design, Italian lily pad pools, and more! I will also have the opportunity to visit various gardens in NC and present a project to benefit the estate. It has been so rewarding to see my classroom experiences at Purdue translate into the work force!
