January’s Lunch and Learn Series Focused on Hawai’ian Agriculture

Audience sitting while Kathryn Orvis presents.

This month’s Lunch and Learn Series by HLA’s Community Standards Committee was held January 29 and focused on the agriculture of Hawai’i. Kathryn Orvis, Linda Prokopy, Steve Meyers and Miranda Purcell presented on their farm tour adventures while in Hawai’i for the American Society for Horticulture Science Conference in September 2024. They visited a macadamia nut farm, plumeria farm, the Dole Plantation, and Kahuku Farms. Lunch was provided which included a make-you-own poke bowl.
