West Lafayette, IN (February 21, 2025) – A new podcast episode, “Living Landscapes,” is launching today, offering listeners a journey into sustainable communities. Hosted by Center for Community & Environmental Design undergraduate research assistants Hannah Kmetz and Colby Smock, the series will explore local and global green initiatives, examining the crucial elements that contribute to a thriving and environmentally conscious future. The episode tackles the complex question: “What does a sustainable community look like?” Hannah and Colby delve into this broad topic, offering insights into the multifaceted nature of sustainability and highlighting local efforts that listeners might encounter in their everyday lives. This episode provides a foundational understanding of the key community sustainability components. Future episodes of Living Landscapes will delve deeper into specific aspects of sustainability, featuring interviews with experts, exploring innovative projects, and examining the challenges and opportunities facing communities striving for a greener future.
