Nemali Lab is hosting an overseas visiting doctoral fellow from India under the Purdue-India Partnership for a period of one to one-and-half years. Ms. Uzma Gulzar is currently doing her Ph.D. in the Division of Fruit Science, College of Horticulture, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Kashmir, India. She will be conducting research with Dr. Krishna Nemali with a focus on evaluating the potential of digital image-based sensors to timely detect changes in strawberry development and growth and provide decision support on environmental conditions in a greenhouse. With a fruit science research background and international experience, she brings a unique perspective with a global outlook. She is enthusiastic about leveraging the opportunity to conduct research at Purdue to further enhance her expertise and contribute meaningfully to the ongoing research initiatives.
