Please welcome Ayyaz Ahmed, a new visiting scholar in the Nemali lab.
I’m Ayyaz Ahmed, a visiting scholar at Purdue University, originally from Pakistan. With a background in architecture, civil engineering, and project management, I’m currently pursuing a PhD in Architectural Engineering at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy.
My research aligns with the challenges outlined in the United Nations’ Agenda 2030, focusing on food insecurity, housing shortages, and land degradation driven by population growth, increasing demand for resources, and the decreasing availability of arable land due to intensive cultivation and climate change. Through an integrated approach, I aim to find possible solutions to mitigate the impact of these challenges and contribute to a more sustainable future.
Beyond research, I’m passionate about traveling, experiencing new cultures, and exploring new things. Every journey broadens my perspective, inspiring me to rethink through a global lens.
