Emmanuel is a Liberian and graduate of EARTH University in Costa Rica with a BSc in Agronomical Science. He also holds a postgraduate certificate from the Ohio State University in Horticulture Science. He is currently a MS student studying horticulture science with emphasis in weed management technology. His thesis focuses on utilizing cultural and biological controls to manage weeds in organic sweetpotato production systems.
Jeanine, originally from Nicaragua, earned her B.Sc. in Agricultural Sciences and Production in 2017 at Zamorano University, Honduras. In 2020, she joined the Meyers' lab at Purdue University as a Graduate Research Assistant. At Purdue, she earned her M.Sc. and continued for her Ph.D. Her Ph.D. research centers on multi-year plasticulture strawberry production.

Josué earned a BSc in Agricultural Science from Zamorano University, Honduras in 2021. He is currently pursuing an MSc, focusing on weed management with silage tarps for small-scale potato and onion farming.

Carlos A. López Manzano is a research scholar who joined at Meyers lab in 2022. He has a B.Sc. in Environmental Science and Development from Zamorano University, Honduras, and a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the University of El Salvador, El Salvador. He has been involved in the design, maintenance and data analysis of weed science research. He said: “I grew up as a farmer, so I am grateful to have this opportunity to explore the world of plants, AKA weeds, that challenge our crops production”. His favorite weeds are from the Caprifoliaceae family. He also likes to interact with chickens, cows and bees.
