2023 Purdue EMG Program Policy Guide Revisions

Over the last few months, the Purdue Extension Master Gardener Advisory Committee, Purdue Risk Management, and Purdue Extension administrative leaders have reviewed and made several revisions to the Purdue EMG Policy Guide (MG-5-W) last revised in 2022.

Here are some of the revisions made to the policy guide:

• Page 8 – Lapse in Volunteer Service
  • 4 years or less: Removed show evidence of photo ID and requirement to purchase the Purdue EMG Manual.
  • Greater than 4 years: Added more streamlined training requirements for re-entry into the program.
• Page 10 – Updated Branding requirements
  • Added the requirement to add  “in partnership with” above Purdue EMG Brand when there is an EMG association serving as a primary sponsor with Purdue EMG or Extension.
• Page 13 – Termination of volunteer
  • Changed County Extension Director to Area Director  in reference to when there is a meeting with a volunteer.
• Other misc. changes as needed, dates, page numbers, etc.
