Purdue University Extension and University of Illinois Extension are collaborating to offer the annual Bi-State Garden Conference, at The Beef House Restaurant, 16501 Indiana State Road 63, Covington, Indiana, on Thursday, January 23.  Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. (EST), and a buffet dinner will start at 6:00 p.m. (EST) with two after dinner speakers scheduled to include:

  • The Story Behind All-America Selections & Trending Recent Winners by Diane Blazek, Executive Director All-America Selections and National Garden Bureau
  • Pruning Small Trees & Shrubs by Ryan Pankau, Horticulture Educator, University of Illinois Extension

There is a $25 fee for the program, which includes dinner, payable at the door or online. Dietary restrictions can be communicated through the online registration or with the extension office.  All are welcome and Master Gardeners can receive up to two hours of education credit.  Pre-registration is requested by calling the Vermillion County Extension Office at 765-492-5330 or cox119@purdue.edu or online at https://go.illinois.edu/GardenConf by noon on January 20th.
