Amy Boyle

Vice President for Human Resources 

Amy Boyle is the vice president for human resources, bringing more than 20 years of experience within Purdue’s human resources department. Before stepping into her current role, Boyle was the associate vice president for talent, where she played a key role in ensuring Purdue maintained its top position for the development, retention, engagement and attraction of innovative talent. She has also worked in recruitment, compensation, employee relations and held multiple HR leadership roles. 

Boyle is experienced in uniting teams, delivering strategic direction and providing essential leadership to reach objectives. She led the integration of the former Student Life and Physical Facilities human resources teams by merging resources, simplifying processes, repositioning talent, improving service levels and eliminating redundancy. She also played a vital role in the Transform Purdue initiative, served as a change lead for the Human Capital Management (SuccessFactors) project, contributed to the job family structure and was the HR lead on the Future of Work project. 

Before coming to Purdue in 2002, Boyle worked in human resources in the manufacturing sector. She is an active member of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) and a graduate of the Collegiate Management Institute and the American Research Universities Human Resource Institute. She holds certifications from PDI Ninth House Profiler and Executive Profiler and has shared her expertise through presentations at CUPA-HR conferences, the Big 10 Chief Human Resource Officers Conference and the Indiana Society of Human Resource Management.  

A proud Boilermaker, Boyle holds two Purdue degrees: a Bachelor of Science in organizational leadership and supervision from Purdue West Lafayette and a Master of Business Administration from Purdue Global.
