Dental and Vision
Purdue University and Purdue Global – in conjunction with Delta Dental, Purdue’s dental plan administrator –offers you three dental plan options from which to choose.
Dental plan elections are made annually during benefits open enrollment (unless you have a qualifying life event) and are in effect January through December. Premiums are taken before taxes, and all benefits paid by the dental plan contribute toward the plan’s annual maximum benefit.
Purdue’s vision plan, through a program called Vision Service Plan (VSP), is a separate election from the medical plan and is made each year during open enrollment. It is a free benefit for employees and families and is available even if you are not covered by a Purdue medical plan. However, you must elect vision coverage for yourself in order to elect it for your dependents.
