Purdue Childcare
Purdue University knows that providing quality childcare is vital to the quality of life for our faculty, staff, and students. To help ensure a family friendly environment, various childcare options are conveniently offered on the West Lafayette campus. Each of the childcare centers is designed to care for children of varying ages, with each offering slightly different learning experiences for children. Purdue University takes pride in hiring degreed professionals as lead teachers, each with a background in early childhood education or a related field.
To learn more about each individual childcare center, see their information below. Registration information is also available below.
The Ben and Maxine Miller Child Development Laboratory School, operated by The Department of Human Development & Family Studies, is a place where young children and families learn and grow. Actively engaging the world around them, each day children, teachers, parents, researchers, and university students play and work together, creating a safe, loving community of discovery. The program provides child development practice and student teaching experiences for Purdue students, fulfills a need in the community for high quality early education and care, and offers a site for child development research to serve the learning, discovery, and engagement missions at Purdue. The center is open first to children of faculty, staff, and Purdue students. The center is also available to the general public. The program is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
