TLCoP April 27: Transforming Purdue syllabi
All Purdue West Lafayette instructors, teaching assistants, staff, and students are invited to join the Teaching and Learning Community of Practice (TLCoP) online for its final session on Wednesday, April 27, noon-1 p.m. ET. The session will explore PWL syllabus guidelines for instructor and student success.
Efforts are underway at PWL to review syllabus guidelines and processes for review, updates, and distribution. This includes goals and criteria for syllabi that support transformative undergraduate education and other key initiatives related to student success. Such a framework would address the needs of instructors and students, colleges and departments, and of the institution and its fields of study.
This virtual event is mainly a listening session. While some people will be on-hand to share updates on syllabi transformation efforts and answer questions, we plan to spend most of our 50 minutes listening to what instructors and students need and want. Please register for this Zoom session. Further details on the community of practice and other TLCoP sessions this semester are available on the TLCoP website.
TLCoP is part of the Innovative Learning hub approach to connect PWL instructors to the resources they need to engage students, develop courses in any instructional modality, and enhance learning across the University.
