Note: Many of our tools can be found under External Learning Tools within Brightspace. To access External Learning Tools, open your Brightspace course > click Content > create or open a content module > click Existing Activities > select External Learning Tools from the drop-down menu.
Gradescope

How to migrate Gradescope content to the Purdue equivalent: To transfer content from your IUPUI Gradescope account to your Purdue Gradescope account, you will need to merge the two accounts.
Accessing Gradescope within a Purdue Brightspace course: Open your Brightspace course > click Content > create or open a content module > click Existing Activities > select External Learning Tools from the drop-down > click Gradescope.

Kaltura

How to migrate Kaltura content to the Purdue equivalent: We are preparing a method to automatically copy videos from the IUPUI Kaltura account to the Purdue Kaltura account in June. You can also manually download videos and upload them into Purdue’s Kaltura system using the steps below.
Kaltura videos will need to be re-added to your course using the Purdue Kaltura system. Instructions on how to complete this step are below.
Accessing Kaltura within a Purdue Brightspace course: Open your Brightspace course > click Content > create or open a content module > click Existing Activities > select Add Kaltura Media.

How to migrate Respondus LockDown Browser content to the Purdue equivalent: N/A. After migrating your Canvas course to Brightspace, you can enable Respondus LockDown Browser for exams using the steps below.
Accessing Respondus LockDown Browser within a Purdue Brightspace course: Open your Brightspace course > click Course Tools > select Quizzes from the drop-down > click LockDown Browser.

Purdue equivalent: iClicker Cloud
How to migrate TopHat content to the Purdue equivalent: Instructors who have used TopHat in a course within the last 12 months will see an option enabled in their TopHat account to export questions to a PDF. Instructors can then copy/paste this content as desired for use with iClicker.
If you do not see the Export to PDF option, or if you would like content from a course taught more than 12 months ago, please email shashank.santosh@tophatmonocle.com.
Accessing iClicker: Instructors should go to https://instructor.iclicker.com and click on “Sign in through your campus portal” link at the bottom of the screen, and log in with their Purdue Career Account login and password.
Students will login at https://student.iclicker.com by clicking on “Sign in through your campus portal” link at the bottom of the screen, and then log in with their Purdue Career Account login and password. Students cannot search for classes to join; they must use the emailed link or join code provided by their instructor.

How to migrate Turnitin content to the Purdue equivalent: N/A. After migrating your Canvas course to Brightspace, you can enable Turnitin for assignments using the steps below.
Accessing Turnitin within a Purdue Brightspace course: Open your Brightspace course > click Course Tools > select Assignments from the drop-down > click New Assignment or edit an existing assignment > expand the Evaluation and Feedback panel on the right > click Manage Turnitin.
