Finalizing Your Brightspace Gradebook
Dec. 2, 10-10:50 a.m. (Virtual)

This session will review the steps faculty should take to finalize their Brightspace gradebook. Presenters will cover some of the most common issues that come into Teaching and Learning Technologies (TLT) about Brightspace grades at the end of each semester, show how to publish your final grades in Brightspace, and demonstrate how to translate those scores into letter grades and send them to MyPurdue/Banner.

Tech Advocate Program: The Technology Advocates program for Purdue’s West Lafayette campus is expanding to include Spring 2022 courses. Student Technology Advocates are immediately available to assist West Lafayette instructors who want to work on their Spring Brightspace course set-up and other educational technologies, or provide remote access for students who may need to isolate or quarantine. Instructors simply submit this request form for a Technology Advocate for their courses.

TLT at Purdue West Lafayette will also be offering extended drop-in support hours starting on Dec. 13 and running through Dec. 21. These sessions offer immediate, expert assistance for faculty as they grade final exams and assignments and submit final grades (along with other questions about Brightspace or other tools). One-hour drop-ins sessions are offered each morning at 10 a.m., and on Mondays 1-2 p.m., Tuesdays 2-3 p.m., Wednesdays 3-4 p.m., and Thursdays 2-3 p.m. No registration required.

December is also a great time to request a custom workshop for January 2022. While TLT will try to accommodate all requests, availability is limited. Avoid the rush by emailing tlt@purdue.edu now to book a session.

CELT is not holding open workshops in December. Should you and/or a group of faculty have upcoming workshop needs, please complete CELT’s Customized Workshop Request Form. Alternatively, faculty can schedule a one-on-one with CELT Instructional Consultants via the Consultation webpage.
