TLCoP: Nov. 18: Getting the Most Out of Your Teaching Time
Purdue instructors, teaching assistants, and staff are invited to join the Teaching and Learning Community of Practice (TLCoP) online Monday, Nov. 18, 3-4 p.m. ET. for its final session of Fall 2024.
The Nov. 18 session will center around how Purdue instructors can make the best use of the time they devote to teaching decision making. The session will feature Purdue instructors who are utilizing different strategies, tools, and approaches to ensure that they are making better use of their time to support learning in their classes.
We will hear from instructors who are piloting Purdue’s EdDiscussion bot to reduce time spent responding to student questions, while ensuring just-in-time support for students. Other invited instructors will share how they make strategic time decisions to develop accelerated summer or winter term courses and those who leverage artificial intelligence to accelerate course planning.
Please register for the Zoom session. Additional details on the community of practice, as well as past and future sessions, are available on the TLCoP website. As a community of practice, TLCoP wants to hear from everyone involved with teaching and learning at Purdue. Come to the Nov. 18th session with your ideas and questions.
